E. Vill's Change of Season Closing End of January!

I feel like my child is leaving me.  I came across Change of Season the week it opened some 3+ years ago and became friends with Clinton and Marco...and now, they are leaving for Amsterdam.  Weep.

Good news is everything is on sale-is major-is, however word has it that things are vanishing fast!

Hope to visit my semi-retail pals soon in Europe.

Wow time flies when you are shopping.
GOOD LUCK C&M!
xoxo GSNYC

Narnia: An Oldie But Goodie Vintage / Resale

At 161 Rivington St. resides Narnia, a vintage/resale shop of utmost quality that I had not visited for eons.  While there's something earthy and almost Southwestern about it, it works in the big City.  They're having a super mega sale at 129 Rivington right now, but I'd skip it if I were you and go to the mothership, (with your bank account healthy and strong).

Also, on a sidenote, the guys at Change of Season in the East Village have closed up shop, gone to Italy and will be back in action on January 22 with a whole new monster load of last quarter's high-end couture for less.  Mark your calendars!

My new love interest in the East Village, also known as "Change of Season" just launched a new website at: http://www.changeofseasonnyc.com/. There's little chance that this little boutique outlet isn't going to be a huge hit.

New Store to Watch (and Shop at): Change of Season

I went to the opening of Change of Season in the East Village (341 E. 9th Street) last night and am adding it to my list of stores to watch...and go to...often.

Tagged as "a boutique outlet," owner Clinton explained to me that he carefully procures pieces from last season among various non-U.S. based, high-end designers, including Vivienne Westwood, Dries Van Noten, Comme des Garcons and more. The prices are reduced to the point of actually affordable (most things I liked seemed to fall in the $125-$285 range) and the quality is impeccable. And almost as important, the variety includes all kinds of shapes and sizes. He is looking to expand the breadth and depth and I intend on offering him some ideas.

Additionally, the jewelry selection from Milan-based GM Collections and Florence-based Gaggio (see photo) were thrilling, especially Gaggio's bronze skulls with hand worked beading necklaces. Again the prices were in the attainable range, and well worth checking out in person.
Located in the old "Enchantments" retail space, I'd have to say...it's witchcraft...
