Paul Smith: Fashion Informant Edition

A close source snapped up a $1,900 suit for $350. It was a little "cuckoo," but worth it. Head downtown to 328 West Broadway ASAP. File away this intel that a cashier shared - there is a Paul Smith store in Williamsburg selling suits for 50% off retail that may be from a past season, but in a fashion pinch, dapper dudes can head to 280 Grand Street.

Thurs.-Sat. (11am-7pm)

382 W. Broadway (between Broome & Spring St.)

Paul Smith Sale Shop in Bklyn - CUTTING TO THE BONE!

Right from the New York Times' "Urban Eye:"

It’s men’s fashion week in Milan, but it’s discount month in Brooklyn. The Paul Smith Sale Shop in Williamsburg — where prices start at least 30 percent off — is cutting even deeper; everything from bathing suits to striped shirts, plus women’s and children’s ware, is marked down an additional 70 percent. Paul Smith’s clothes “have always been crisp, dressy, optimistic and unafraid of color,” Mike Albo writes. “He not only made it cool to wear shirts with vibrant prints, suits with purple linings, ties with floral patterns but also made it masculine.” And now he’s made it cheaper.

Paul Smith Sale Shop in Brooklyn?

As I was cruising the dim calles of Williamsburg last night, my friend noticed what you see pictured here. And what you probably can't read is what it says on the folded-up awning: "Paul Smith Sale Shop." So, wait, is there a Paul Smith outlet store on Grand St. in Williamsburg? We discussed this grand (pun intended) notion for a few minutes, but then had to carry on to Clem's. However, upon further inquiry this morning, I have found out that yes indeed, this outlet collects items from the other U.S.-based PS stores and sells them here for cheaper (but apparently not that much cheaper). So go check it out - 280 Grand St.

I Need to Wear Some Glasses Like DMC

After years of trying out new and different contact lenses I finally did the right thing and went to a proper opthamologist. Long story short, he figured out my vision problems, gave me an accurate prescription and sent me off to Leonard Opticians in the west 50s. After trying on at least 20 frames, I decided upon (with resounding support from the fine folk at Leonard) these Paul Smiths, which were coincidentally also 50% off retail.

My quest towards going "Full Fey" continues...

viv&ingrid stuff

I just lost one of my favorite earrings ever. I got them at Anna on E. 3rd. St. and in less than a week, POOF! Gone. Shit.

Well I found out that it was a viv&ingrid earring and that they still sell the lost earrings online! Yay! In three sizes! Yay! In silver and gold! Yay! For at least twice what I paid for them at Anna. BOO! These aren't even a photo of them, but I thought they were cool looking too.

And did you know that Paul Smith just opened a discount store in Williamsburg where prices are reduced by 30 percent. @80 Grand Street near Havermayer. Closed Monday.
