Mother Guerilla and I were going through some family heirlooms, of which we have about six, and came across these, in the original JL Hudson's box. Anyone know what they are? Some guesses have included shoe buckles/adornments or a shoulder/scarfy holder thingy. I know, very specific descriptions. If you know or have any ideas, please tell me! I am ready to take on the Antiques Roadshow with this stuff!

They are shoe adornments. My grannie gave me hers. Just clip one on a ballet flat and you have a vintage look that probably inspired the Tory Burch plate that adorns her eponymous ballet flats.
I have gotten similar suggestions, but the problem is that it doesn't have a 'clip' - it's just a metal loop that doesn't open.
they are cut steel shoe buckles, typically dating from the 1850's to 1890's from france.
We may be getting somewhere, except these are from JL Hudson's (Detroit) - the box says so!
