Sept. 10: Shopping Event partners with Fashion's Night Out, First Look at Fall Fashions

This fall, the City Opera Thrift Shop celebrates fashion during by partnering with Fashion's Night Out (http://www.fashionsnightout.com/) - a global retail initiative to promote retail and restore consumer confidence.

Be among the first to preview our fall collection of clothing, accessories, jewelry, home furnishings, furniture, artwork and books on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 from 6pm - 11pm. As a special treat, experience the thrill of opera while shopping with a surprise performance by City Operas own mezzo-soprano, Heather Johnson, singing a selection of arias from some of the worlds most beloved operas. In addition, guests can enter to win tickets to New York City Opera performance with no purchase required.

Also on hand throughout the night to assist with styling your fall wardrobe will be Lori Sutherland, aka Dame Lori, a fashion soul stylist and thrift shop consultant. Lori's 10+ years experience with City Opera Thrift Shop includes creating and producing fashion & home events. With her 25 year old passion for vintage and thrift, she is a resource for developing a chic & cheap personal style that educates, entertains and serves the fashion forward shopper.

Shoppers at this year's annual Fall Preview can look forward to a fantastic selection of fashions from renowned designers such as: Marc Jacobs, Marchesa, Adam Lippes, Malo, Roberto Cavalli, Hickey Freeman, Lauren Moffatt, Valentino, Christian Dior, Armani, Ralph Lauren, St. John, Donna Karan, Theory, Sonia Rykiel, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Luca Luca, Escada, Betsey Johnson, Juicy Couture, Max Mara, John Varvatos and many more.
