Old Navy Tanks: Two for $4.23??
It seems not possible, but indeed it is: I purchased the pictured tanks at Old Navy for $4.23...TOTAL. I mean, they are practically giving them all away! I find that the Navy is the best spot for tank tops of all styles and colors, hands down. They are practical, decent quality, well-fitting and cheap as all hell. There is little need to go elsewhere for this particular item.

20% Off Tanks & Camis at american basics
Established in Brooklyn, Americas Basics knows that most girls spend their lives in basics. T-shirts, camisoles and tanks are their bread and butter, and from the looks of it, most - if not all - items cost $10 or less! Add to that the coupon code you see here (summer 387), and you probably couldn't spend less at Old Navy on similar items. I haven't seen the goods in person yet, but I'm guessing it's like a cheaper American Apparel. I will let you know my evaluation when I get the goods in my hands.

Chicago: Shopping Secret...Shhhh
So in communicating with a GS friend, I have been given some insight from an anti-shopper's shopper:
I'm not a big shopper myself but definitely love a good bargain and get very proud of them. One thing that I discovered in the past year: Chicago is a great city for shopping. I visited a friend there and we shopped for a weekend; Chicago is a big enough city to have a lot of good clothes but Chicagoans are far too practical to spend ridiculous amounts of money. I feel compelled to tell you about my biggest score in Chicago: jeans are a rough area for me (for everyone over 25, I imagine...) There is a dangerously fine line between flatteringly low-waisted and my a** hanging out when I sit down, and I try on a LOT of jeans without buying many. In Chicago I bought a cute pair of True Religion jeans that I can sit in for $50! They were originally $320, but nobody in Chicago is going to pay that much because it's stupid. Even with the flight to Chicago ($200) they were cheaper than retail! My other new thing: for sports equipment, www.steepandcheap.com. They sell only one thing at a time but they sell it REALLY cheap--usually more than 60% off-- and then move on to the next. My sister has actually bought a ton of stuff on there (she's the sporty sister). I check it a lot, though. It's totally worth it. Wow. I totally feel like talking about shopping. I totally agree with you about Old Navy, Macy's and Lord and Taylor.

The Guerilla House
I wanted to let everyone know that I have gotten a new, incredible, temporary home for an excellent price. I won't say exactly where, but let's just say it's a great neighborhood with a HUGE front yard. Then when that fun opportunity comes to a conclusion, I have another great set up waiting for me for the summer.
So hopefully I shall soon be back in real shopping mode, especially because I just took inventory of what clothing I managed to save and buy during the last 2 weeks: 19 tank tops from Old Navy and two pairs of work-appropriate pants isn't going to work well for the next 6 months...

Ann Taylor Loft - Why I don't shop online
I am proud to say that I just entered an Ann Taylor Loft store for the first time in my life - this particular one on 42nd St. and 7th Avenue.Um...what a bunch of horrendous crap! I was astonished at how hideous the styles and materials are. And although the colors weren't so bad, everything seemed to be off white, barely black, sorta red and denim.
I just looked online and the site makes the clothes appear much better than they are in real life. I saw this dress in the store and it made me gag. I guess for $79 you can't expect too much, but if on a serious budget, I would be much more inclined to shop at Old Navy and TJ Maxx than at this joint.
Who shops in this place? And if you do, then STOP IT! I will help you.
Guerilla Shoppers don't let friends shop at Ann Taylor Loft.

Wrap it Up...I'll Take it
I am feeling somewhat guilty that I haven't been spending as much time on bloggy as I would like to...my day job has been incredibly hectic, thereby reducing my time available to both shop and write. OK, now that I've gotten that out of my system, onto business...
I am hoping today or tomorrow will be my last day of Christmas shopping - I am in the final stages of buying Mother Guerilla some key gifts. And without her there'd have been no baby Guerilla, so she deserves careful consideration, i.e. "I have to get my momma some good sh*t." But that is all I will say for now, lest I eliminate any element of surprise.
But remember, purchasing a gift is not the final step! You must package and market said gift appropriately...you don't have to spend a lot of money to do this, most wrapping supplies can be bought at the local 99-cent store. But better, and I wish I had remembered this myself, is Old Navy. They have some of the coolest, high quality wrapping paper at a very reasonable price. It's like Christmas pop culture on paper! [Thanks to my day-job co-worker for reminding me of this little Old Navy secret].
I know, I know, many of you (especially the boys) don't want to get involved in wrapping paper, ribbons, cards, etc. But just think - if you've spent the time thinking about what to buy, shopping for it, paying for it...don't you think that you and your gift deserve to be presented (no pun intended) in the best possible way? It really adds to the whole gifting experience overall. Trust me and the Ms. Manners who sometimes dwells within my soul.
And check out my gift display! Makes for festive Xmas decor to boot.

Old Navy - Flip Flops & Tank Tops
Old Navy is good for flip flops and tank tops. I can't get enough of either -- so many colors and styles for a great price. And I really do enjoy going to the store on 6th Avenue in Chelsea - it's like a giant supermarket with clothes and stuff where the produce should be.I WANT Old Navy clothes to fit me. It would be GRAND if I could create a mini-wardrobe, because the prices are so on target (pun intended). However, I can't seem to get this stuff to work for me. If the waist fits the hips are huge. If the size is right and it's on special sale, I can't get it over my knees. And what happened to their hilarious commercials? After this rant I guess I can assume that they won't be contacting me to replace Morgan Fairchild.
But wait! They also have great kitschy items near check out, including sunglasses, beach towels, necklaces, zany wrapping paper and more. It's just the actual clothes that I take issue with.
Most of all, I hope you, the lucky reader, enjoys a photo of worn flip flops. Artistic though, right? RIGHT?!
