Some people's parents teach them the family business or how to meet a rich spouse or how to cook. Not me. My parents taught me how TO SHOP. If you love clothes, shoes, food & drink as much as I do, then you are in luck: I am your feet on the street in New York telling you where to get great stuff at a good deal. Follow me as I trek through the shops and restaurants of New York (and cyberspace) on your behalf...

u have the ONLY blog post about ayla boots which id like to order VERY badly. thing is ima size 7.5 and i noticed u said u wish they had 8.5 i was wondering which size you ordered? also i can't find this info and i was wondering how high up your calf it comes? (wondering which calf size to order) anyway...id appreciate any information you can give me, im kinda desperate to purchase and have a million questions.
I got the 8s and this particular pair comes midway up my calf. If you order tell them the Guerilla Shopper sent you their way!

thanks soooo much!! this is invaluable. i will def mention u when i order. and hey i work in union square! (saw ur dsw post) how is the width of the foot portion? (im like a 7 or 7.5 wide and i dont know if i should order a 7 or 8) and did you order your calf size larger in order to accommodate jeans or did they strech out?
They are medium-to-wide width, I'd say, especially in comparison to so many designer teeny tiny shoes running rampant these days. I did not get a wider calf - I didn't even think of it at the time! My jeans do fit inside, but it is snug. I suggest keeping true to your calf circumference though, because I feel the boots look better and then so will you!
